In tutto il mondo il singolo ha venduto ben cinque milioni di copie ed in Italia ha raggiunto il primo posto delle classifiche nel 1981. Anche in altri paesi come l’Inghilterra il brano ha avuto un notevolissimo successo raggiungendo anche qui le vette della classifica inglese.
